Nancy Reagan aids drug fight

Nancy Reagan spoke at a daylong briefing to kick off a drug-abuse-prevention program sponsored by ACTION, the national volunteer agency.

''Over the past year, I've become increasingly disturbed by America's drug epidemic and its effect on our youth,'' Mrs. Reagan said in prepared remarks. ''The White House is committed to this drive against drugs.'' she said. ''My husband's concern has grown along with mine, and I intend to keep the spotlight on drug abuse as along as I'm here.''
