Alleged plot in S. Korea points to third suspect
| Toronto
A Korean-born Canadian, believed to have fled to North Korea, is wanted in connection with an alleged plot to kill South Korean President Chun Doo-hwan, police said.
Two Toronto men were arrested and charged with involvement in the conspiracy, along with unnamed North Koreans and the missing man, 31-year-old Choi Jung-hwa. Police said there would have been a big payoff if President Chun had been assassinated. But they disclosed few details of the plot.
