Libya charges US jets 'buzzed' one of its planes

Libya charged that two US jet fighters intercepted and harassed a Libyan airliner over the Aegean Sea Jan. 31.

A broadcast said the Libyan airliner was 30 miles southeast of Athens en route to Tripoli when two US Phantom jets took off from a ''nearby aircraft carrier and chased the Libyan passenger plane for more than seven miles,'' then flew over the aircraft, ''panicking the passengers.''
