Guardian Angels assured of inquiry on shooting

Members of the crime-fighting Guardian Angels have been assured by the Justice Department that the shooting death of one of their members in Newark, N.J., is being investigated.

At the end of a 250-mile march in some of the coldest weather on record, leaders of the Guardian Angels met with Justice Department officials Tuesday to press for a federal inquiry into the killing.
