* You can never tell what Louis Malle will come up with next -- a ground-breaking romance ("The Lovers"), a documentary ("Phantom India"), an attack on fascism ("Lacombe Lucien"), or a bright comedy-drama ("Atlantic City"). His lastest film continues this unpredictable course: called My Dinner with Andre, it portrays a volatile dinner conversation between theater director Andre Gregory and playwright Wallace Shawn. Advance word says the focus "is on the relationship between the two men and how it reflects the way in which the past two decades have affected us all." After being in this year's New York Film Festival, it will open commerically on Oct. 11.
