Four more copters going to El Salvador, US says

Four more US helicopters are being provided to El Salvador for its right against leftist insurgents, State Department officials said. The aircraft -- including 10 others previously delivered -- were provided as part of the Reagan administration's $35 million military assistance program to counter insurgents who the United States said were receiving heavy arms through Cuba and Nicaragua. Six US military trainers were accompanying the helicopters to instruct Salvadoran forces in their use and maintenance.
