Inside Report (7)
From East Coast to West, Richard Nixon's name has lost some of its "draw." A private museum in San Clemente, Calif., dedicated to Nixon, is losing its home because of too few visitors. In Washington, the Government Printing Office is stuck with 1,328 unsold copies of its 1974 (Watergate era) volume of Nixon's messages, statements, and press conference transcripts. Only 398 copies have been sold. But interest burns bright at Duke University. It wants to donate land for a Nixon presidential library. Duke trustees are expected to vote on the idea early next month.
Nixon is a 1937 graduate of Duke Law School.m
