Indiana slayer dies in the electric chair

Confessed killer Steven Judy, who died in the electric chair early Monday, was the fourth murderer executed in the United States since capital punishment was reinstituted in 1976. Judy, a 24-year-old laborer, refused to appeal his sentence.

He was put to death in the Indiana State Prison for th e slaying of young mother and her three children in 1979.
