Europe may be exporting grain

Because of bumper harvests within its country-member boundaries, the European Community is expected to show up as a net exporter of grain for 1980-81. Poor crop returns in other areas caused by unfavorable growing weather, plus worldwide increased demand, have pushed the Nine into the favorable exporting column for the first time in the history of the EC, according to the US Department of Agriculture's Foreign Ag ricultural Service.
