Guyanese voted in general elections Monday that were expected to return Linden Forbes Burnham as president of this South American nation. Opposition leaders have charged that Mr. Burnham planned to engage in vote-rigging and officially sponsored intimidation. He has ruled Guyana since independence in 1966, first as prime minister, then as president since last October under a new socialist-inspired Constitution.
