Emirates wants to scrap OPEC meeting, citing war

The United Arab Emirates called for a postponement of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries' Dec. 15 summit because of the Gulf war and said it would not attend any parley that disrupted the cartel's unity. The UAE also said it was against any oil price increases, citing the instability of the world energy market.
