Myers says he'll fight House effort to expel him

Rep. Michael Myers (D ) of Pennsylvania, convicted of taking bribes from FBI agents in the Abscam case, will fight efforts today to expel him from the House and will seek re-election. Mr. Myers said he was "surprised and disappointed" that the House ethics committee recommended Wednesday that the House expel him. The committee recommended expulsion after viewing FBI videotapes showing him asking for money and boasting about his influence.
