Further terms for freeing hostages, Iranian says
Tehran, Iran — The speaker of parliament said there would be further conditions for the release of the American hostages beyond those laid down by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, including an apology from the United States for its past involvement in Iran. Speaker Hojatoleslam Rafsanjani said the hostage situation would be the main item on the agenda of Tuesday's Majlis session. It was also revealed that a letter from families of the 52 American hostages had been delivered to the speaker. No details of the letter were available.
