Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Edward W. Brooke, the former Republican Senator from Massachusetts, is being prodded to back John Anderson for president. Brooke could help unite liberal and black support for Anderson in the Bay State.
But backing Anderson would mean burning most of his bridges to the Republican Party. That's something he wouldn't want to do if he still has political ambitions -- which he very well may.m
