The Federal Aviation Administration will begin tests next year on a plane- to-plane warning device aimed at averting collsion near airports. The device enables planes to get direct readouts on the identity and altitude of nearbt Aircraft. It consists of a radar beacon that picks up coded information from electronic instruments on other aircraft.
