Curb on new universities for West Bank, Gaza Strip

Israeli military authorities have tightened regulations to prevent Palestinians from opening new universities on the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, military sources said Sunday. A special license required to open new universities will be virtually impossible to get, the sources said. There are now six universities and technical colleges on the West Bank, which have become centers for Palestinian nationalist activity, the sources said.
