Anderson leads popular vote in Massachusetts

A final tally in the Massachusetts March 4 Republican presidential primary shows John B. Anderson won the popular vote. The Illinois Congressman received 125,190 votes compared with George Bush's 124,532 and Ronald Reagan's 115,634. But 2,203 of Mr. Anderson's votes were write-ins on Democratic ballots and do not count in awarding GOP convention delegates. Mr. Bush will get 14 delegates and Messrs. Reagan and Anderson 13 each.
