Zia stands behind Pakistan nuclear plans

President Muhammad Zia ul-Haq said Monday the government is determined to continue Pakistan's nuclear development program "for peaceful purposes." Mr. Zia told the 23rd annual convention of the Institution of Engineers, "Pakistan will not rest content without accomplishing this program which is extremely vital for the economy of the country."
