US is ready to aid Iran in policing Gulf, aide says

Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski, national-security adviser to President Carter, said here Tuesday that the United States stands ready to work with any Iranian government to preserve security and stability in the Persian Gulf. He said that Iranian interests are being hurt more than America's in the holding of 50 hostages in Tehran, Monitor correspondent Clayton Jones reports.
