Two cases dropped against Mrs. Gandhi

A special court set up last year to try Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for alleged offenses when she was last Prime Minister has dropped proceedings in two of three cases against her. The ruling was made shortly after Mrs. Gandhi was sworn in as Prime Minister following her landslide victory in a general election.
