Titi monkeys: Man arrested in Mexico carrying 18 monkeys in his girdle
Titi monkeys, six-inch tall endangered primates native to South America, can bring in up to $1000 apiece on Mexico's black market. Mexican authorities arrested a man at Mexico City's main international airport Tuesday for allegedly attempting to smuggle 18 titi monkeys in socks within a girdle.

Titi monkeys are only about six inches long. But trying to stash 18 of them about one's person is no mean feat, an alleged monkey smuggler discovered Monday in Mexico City's airport.
