Mass. Supreme Judicial Court ruled Wednesday that, under existing state laws, taking so-called 'upskirt' photos in public is not illegal, prompting state lawmakers to promise updates to an outdated law.
It was silent at 2:50 p.m., not just in Boston but in other cities, too, to honor those killed and wounded in the Boston Marathon bombings, but also to affirm the city's resilience.
Ohio, Kansas, and Maryland now have casinos. Florida may consider them. Massachusetts is poised to invite them in. Hard times tip the balance to economic over social issues, analysts say.
