Right-wing Israelis marched through East Jerusalem on Sunday in a bid to show Israel's sovereignty over all of Jerusalem. Israeli-Palestinian clashes broke out during the march.
UN chief Ban Ki-Moon told Palestinians that the "[United Nations] stands with you" during a visit to Gaza on Sunday. Mr. Ban also slammed the Israel blockade of Gaza for causing 'unacceptable hardships.'
While dismissing many of the allegations made in Richard Goldstone's UN report on the war, Israel has reportedly disciplined two high-ranking officers for ordering the use of controversial white phosphorus during its invasion of Gaza in early 2009.
