Oh, the Horror

Audiences were in the mood to scream this year, turning every other weekend into Fright Night at the multiplex. By far the biggest trend was the return of unironic, unapologetically gory films – a number of which were so graphic that they pushed the 'R' rating into previously uncharted territory.
