One man's vision: delivering aid to remote villages
(Photograph)
Sam Schultz negotiates for supply delivery boats with a Indonesian man living near the village of Lhokruet along Indonesia's Sumatran coast.

Schultz is a volunteer working with Indonesian Development of Education Permaculture, a non-governmental organization.

He has chartered a 100-foot cargo boat to deliver emergency food aid and supplies to hard-to-reach areas of the coast affected by the tsunami.

The photos in this slideshow were taken on Jan. 18-19.
