Karim, a 13-year-old street worker, practices painting, his favorite pastime, at a non-profit school in Kabul, Afghanistan. Later in the day he will collect wood and metal and sell it to buy food for his family. The Afghan Streetworking Children in New Approach (ASCHIANA) gives street children two meals a day and helps them learn work skills.
