I Second That Request…
By Kathleen Eason
I am a professor in the community college circuit and I also adore our “digital world of cyberspace”…yet, I cannot say that laptops have made a better student in research work than the “hands on” system of going to the library and perusing the stacks to come up with resources that support any given research initiative. Moreover, I often tell my students that laptops are awesome because the medium provides living color and connects your opportunities/ideas …globally.
Yet, it is not the whole story of what creativity brings to your work and spiritual growth. Given this reality, I conclude the reasons why laptops are used only for one half of the semester and footwork to the library the second half of the semester … to remember what happens if the electricity shuts down; as in, do you know how to light a candle? Michael Faraday, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, & Nikola Tesla …did! Mary Baker Eddy also knew how to light a candle. She also knew knew the Truth of mankind.
Moreover, Mary Baker Eddy founded the CSMONITOR on the basis of: “to injure no man, but to bless all mankind. ” Simply, the birth of the CSMONITOR was Mary Baker Eddy’s answer to ceasing the moment, to educate, the world about responsible reporting, wherein, the objectivity about her life and times had been challenged via “yellow journalism.”
She was victorious because divine Love met every need…then and now.
