Standing for Peace Rain or Shine

By Mary Lilly

A group of four to ten protesters, ESL college instructor, metal health director, retired, High school Spanish teacher, Potestant ministers, Sisters of St. Francis, retired dentist, have been standing on the corner by the courthouse since February protesting the war in Iraq. We are there rain or shine holding up signs: HONK END THE WAR IN IRAQ, BRING OUR TROOPS HOME, PRAY FOR PEACE, LETS WORK TOGETHER FOR PEACE. We get many honks in this small consevative town of Tiffin, Ohio. We hope that our troops will soon be unnecessary.
