Gold medal quotes from the London Olympics
While superlative athletic efforts are a given at any Olympics, great quotes can be harder to come by. In the case of the athletes, winners overcome by emotion often find themselves “speechless.” Then, too, a lot of tired sports clichés find their way into interviews. Nonetheless, some quotes sparkle, and these are among the best and most memorable uttered in London.
