Freshman guard Brandon Knight led the way for Kentucky in the second and third rounds, scoring on a driving finger roll layup in the closing seconds against Princeton (his only points that day) and compiling 30 points and four assists against West Virginia.

Ohio State’s sharp shooters were out in force in the rounds of 64 and 32: senior guard Jon Diebler made four 3-pointers in each round for a combined 50 percent shooting performance from outside the arc, and senior David Lighty made all seven of the 3-pointers he tried in the 3rd round against George Mason. As a team, the Buckeyes have made 28 of their 50 3-point tries - a tournament-best 56 percent.
