The NFL's Arizona Cardinals went to the Super Bowl last February for the first time in franchise history, mainly on the arm and guts of starting quarterback Kurt Warner. Then, Warner decided to retire, leaving the job to his backup, Matt Leinart.

The former Heisman Trophy winner has had his ups and downs since coming to the Cards in 2006, getting benched and eventually being replaced by Warner. Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt, who's reportedly upset with Leinart, met with him Monday, then announced that former Browns quarterback Derek Anderson would start in Thursday's preseason finale against the Redskins.

ESPN.com is reporting the Bills, Raiders and Giants have had discussions about trading for Leinart. The Giants have a definite need for a backup to Eli Manning, since Jim Sorgi is out for the year with a shoulder injury.
