Hose down vines

Vines that are growing in sheltered spots where they rarely get rained on become dusty and often retain dying or damaged leaves longer than usual because the rain doesn't wash them away. Your sheltered vines will look -- and perform -- better if you hose them down well once a month from spring's frost-free date to just before the first frost of fall.
