It’s all in the name

Cilantro and coriander are the same plant – but different parts.

Cilantro ­– widely used in Mexican cooking -- refers to the parsleylike leaves.

Coriander – an ingredient in curry powder -- is what the mature seeds are called. You can harvest both from the same plant.
