According to the Washington Post, the game, which will take place on Feb. 1, will also feature a performance by John Legend, who will sing “America the Beautiful.”
Menzel is probably currently best known for her song “Let It Go,” which she sang as her character Elsa in the Disney 2013 smash animated hit “Frozen.” The song, which Menzel performed at the 2014 Oscars ceremony, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
The actress is also currently starring in the Broadway show “If/Then,” which premiered in 2014 and tells the story of a woman and multiple paths she could have taken during her life. Menzel originated the lead role and the show includes music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, respectively, who also did the music and lyrics for the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “Next to Normal,” among other work. “If/Then” was nominated for the Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Actress in a Musical for Menzel’s performance. “If/Then” will close on Broadway in March, according to the Guardian.

Those who have performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl recently include singer Renée Fleming, Alicia Keys, and Kelly Clarkson.
