Google honors 100th anniversary of International Women's Day
Women for Women international and Google team up with ways to celebrate the 100th anniversary for International Women's Day on March 8.
Today's Google Doodle is a multi-colored image, with the "gle" transitioned into images of women as graduates and doctors.
To see how you can participate, go to Google.com and click on the logo. You will be redirected to a 'Join women on the bridge' page. Google has incorporated an interactive map with pins showing where supporters are gathering across the globe.
Users have the ability to "check-in" in-person, and if you can't quite get out to a bridge in your area, you can still participate by checking in virtually. Google has also added links to websites of women's organizations to show support to a cause that you care about by making donations.
Celebrities are also getting involved, actor Daniel Craig, best known for portraying James Bond, shows his support towards women's equal rights by literally stepping into women's shoes in a new British television commercial (see video below).
How will you be participating in International Women's Day?
