GM rolls out a bright yellow 'Transformers'-edition Camaro
Fan of the "Transformers" movies? Well, now you can drive around in your very own Autobot.
In the first "Transformers" movie, based on the popular 1980s cartoon, geeky high school student Sam Witwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf, learns that his first car – a 1970s Camaro – is an alien robot named Bumblebee that can transform into any object and even talk through the radio.
While the 2010 Camaro doesn't perform any special tricks, the muscle car's customization includes the addition of Autobot emblems to the side-panels, front fenders, center console, and wheel center caps, as well as Transformers logos placed on the door sill plates and hood stripes (see some detailed photos of the car here). The 2010 Transformers Special Edition Camaro package can can be applied to any LT V-6 or SS V-8 Camaro models for $995.
Now, if GM came out with an Optimus Prime model, we'd be all set.
