The glow from a wildfire can be seen through the entrance to the small community known as Old West Ranch near the Mojave Desert town of Tehachapi, Calif. as residents were evacuated on Tuesday evening. More than 30 homes were lost in the small hill community of Old West Ranch and another 150 structures were threatened, firefighters said. The area is about 70 miles north of Los Angeles.
