Web-posted wedding video goes viral

Wedding season may traditionally take place in June, but a pair of wedding-related videos is making a splash on YouTube this month.

Minnesota couple Kevin Heinz and Jill Peterson danced their way down the aisle – accompanied by their entire wedding party – to Chris Brown's "Forever." The video (posted below) has become an Internet sensation, racking up 1.6 million views since its posting Sunday.

The happy couple appeared on the Today Show Friday morning to talk to hosts Matt Lauer and Merdedith Vieira about their ceremony's unorthodox entrance.

“I danced growing up and was a dancer through college and loved dance as a way to express yourself and share joy. So it was something I always thought about doing," Peterson said. The choreographed routine of ushers, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and the bride and groom themselves took just an hour and a half to rehearse, Peterson told Lauer.

The bridal party will reunite Saturday on "Today" for a live repeat performance.

Down on one knee at Disney

Another video making the rounds on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube lately has a slightly less authentic feel.

A young couple is shown strolling down Disney's Main Street in Disneyland's Magic Kingdom. Suddenly, the man turns to his girlfriend and tells her she has to stand where she is – that he's got something to show her. All of a sudden the lights go down, passersby burst into song, and the man embarks upon an elaborately choreographed marriage proposal.

In line with its "perfectly Disney" feel, the woman says yes, and the two go on their merry way.

Is it real? Staged?

Slate's The Big Money blog rains on this Electrical Parade, pointing out the video as a viral ad in the vein of T-Mobile's staged flash mobs. Still, it's fun Web video fare, and worth a watch.
