Facebook, under siege from a new virus, circles the wagons
A while back, I wrote about the Koobface virus attack. Now Facebook is under assault again. According to some reports, more than 200 million computers fell victim last week to an unnamed phishing scheme which pointed users to sites called fbstar.com or fbaction.net. From there, folks were prompted to enter some personal information; when they did, the bug latched onto their machine. It's a big ole' mess, and Facebook has hired MarkMonitor AntiFraud Solutions to help batten down the hatches. Stay tuned for more information, and as always, use care when clicking on any unusual link.
