The annual Brett Favre 'to play or not to play' dilemma appeared to be heading toward a resolution Tuesday when the highly decorated NFL quarterback arrived in Minnesota. Favre, 40, stepped off a private plane accompanied by three team mates after traveling from his Hattiesburg, Mississippi home to the Eden Prairie practice facilities of the Minnesota Vikings, according to the team's website (www.vikings.com).

No official word emerged Tuesday about whether Favre had decided to play for a 20th season or announce his retirement, as the strong-armed quarterback has considered in each of the last three seasons.

Favre, who had surgery on his left ankle following Minnesota's loss to the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship last season, had skipped the beginning of preseason training as he pondered his future.
