Talk to the editor: Assessing Japan's big change
Join us Thursday at 1 EDT for a conversation with the Monitor's Asia bureau chief, Peter Ford, who has been covering the Japanese elections. We’ll examine the sweeping electoral changes in Japan and what they mean for relations with the United States, Asia, and the rest of the world. Is Japan poised to pull itself out of the economic funk it has been in, or are there structural and demographic reasons why the Japanese will have a hard time regaining their "Japan as No. 1" swagger? Peter will also answer questions about China, where he is based.
