France derives the highest percent of its electricity from nuclear power in the world, and it is also the No. 1 exporter of electricity. France sends about 18 percent of its total electricity production to Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Britain, and Gremany, and makes more than $4 billion doing so each year.
