Reader recommendation: Joan Eardley

Monitor readers share their favorite book picks.

By Karen Fanta Zumbrunn, Princeton, N. J. / July 18, 2013

Christopher Andreae has written an insightful, highly readable book about the artist Joan Eardley. The art – including drawings and oils of Glasgow slum children and Scottish landscapes in different weathers – is beautifully reproduced and shows extensive research. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it.
