I read Blaine Harden's Escape From Camp 14: One Man's Odyssey From North Korea to Freedom in the West. Shin Dong-hyuk was born in North Korea's political prison camps and knew nothing of the world beyond the electrified fence. He is the ONLY known escapee from the worst of the camps, which hold 150,000 to 200,000 political prisoners.
