Branch Rickey: Baseball's Ferocious Gentleman by Lee Lowenfish is the interesting story of the man who not only had the courage to integrate baseball by signing Jackie Robinson but also helped to develop baseball's minor league system. In addition, Rickey also helped to bring national baseball back to New York by attempting to start a third major league.
