Reader recommendation: Flyboys
Monitor readers share their favorite book picks.
Flyboys, by James Bradley, tells the story of the first generation of American pilots in World War II. I am astounded by the bravery displayed by mere boys – most between the ages of 18 and 25 – as they flew around the Pacific Ocean, often never to return.
