The Hunger Games

I just finished reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, in which a yearly lottery forces citizens of 12 districts to participate in a creepy “Survivor”-type game. It was one of the best books I’ve read this year – and it was written for teens! The story had a nice blend of adventure, suspense, and romance. It made me think about the value of behaving humanely versus winning at any cost.  I had a hard time putting it down and am looking forward to the next two books in the series.
