The novel from "Anywhere But Here" author Simpson follows a boy named Miles who overhears that his parents are separating and, with the assistance of his friend Hector, searches for answers. "It's really 'be careful what you wish for,'" Nelson says of the book. "He discovers things about adults and about life that he isn't ready to know. It's bittersweet." She says she could see the book drawing a young adult audience as well. "It really gets that closeness of mothers and sons," says Nelson.
