2. 'Thank You for Your Service,' by David Finkel

Finkel's previous title, "The Good Soldiers," told the story of members of the military serving in Iraq, but "Service" follows those who have returned home as they try to adjust to civilian life. The book focuses on not only the soldiers but their families and those close to them. "It's harrowing.... it's a book that everybody should read," Nelson says of Finkel's work.
