E.L. James made an estimated $95 million this year. Almost overnight, James went from being a fan-fiction writer focusing on a "Twilight" spinoff to becoming the author of "Fifty Shades of Grey," the fastest selling paperback of all time. She published the first book of her "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy in 2011. James says that she only began writing in 2009.
